This resource for students and practitioners of child psychology and special education explains the neurobiological basis of learning and describes evidence-based treatments for a wide variety of learning disabilities. Thirty-seven contributions from specialist authors use plain language to make their scientific understanding of the brain intelligible to those new to the discipline. A broad range of neuropsychological assessment techniques and school-based interventions are profiled. Sample evaluations and Individualized Educational Programs are provided in the appendix. D'Amato is affiliated with the Neuropsychology Laboratory at the U. of Northern Colorado.
