	"Grammatik kreativ" is surely the answer to every teacher's prayer, offering 46 new suggestions (in the form of photocopiable worksheets) for consolidating and revising grammar with beginners of all ages in an entertaining and lasting way. At the heart of the material are short, imaginative texts, which present key grammatical structures in context and serve as models for students to write their own texts. There are five phases involved in this creative writing. First, students take part in preliminary games and exercises designed to arouse their interest in the theme of the model text, to familiarize them with the target structure, to introduce relevant vocabulary and to allow them to develop and collect ideas for their own texts. They are then given the model text and asked to complete various reconstruction exercises, which enables them to take a closer look at the form, meaning and function of the target structure and to practise reproducing it themselves. By the third phase, students are ready to draft their own texts, which are corrected, presented and discussed in phase four, before forming the basis for revision exercises in the final phase. Instructions for all these activities are very clear and include numerous examples, an indication of the level, duration and materials required and advice on grammar explanations which may be necessary. Furthermore, with suggestions for ways to adapt the texts and activities to suit different levels or to practise alternative structures also provided, it is easy for teachers to make the most of the material with the least possible preparation.
